During her tenure at New York 1, She has broken a number of significant exclusive stories: Her crowning achievement: Cheryl is the first journalist in her cable news network's history to interview a sitting President: Nobel Laureate Ellen Johnson Sirleaf who exclusive discussed her administration's controversial handling of Ebola. Cheryl has also covered issues ranging from the emergence of female genital mutilation in New York City to an exclusive one-on-one interview with former Mayor Rudy Giuliani discussing his battle with prostate cancer. Most notably, Cheryl anchored NY1's live coverage of the capture and death of Osama Bin Laden and Hurricane Sandy.
