Cheryl has scored interviews with a wide range of politicians and celebrities including exclusive one-on-ones with Dr. Maya Angelou, Bill Cosby, Harry Belafonte, Randall Robinson and Rudy Giuliani. Cheryl has also interviewed Hillary Clinton and Sen. Charles Schumer; Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Former Mayor David Dinkins; Fashion Designers Tommy Hilfiger, Kenneth Cole, Vera Wang, and Carmen Marc Valvo; Celebrities Doug E. Fresh, Vanessa Williams, Gladys Knight, Ruby Dee, Sarah "Fergie" Ferguson, the Duchess of York, Phylicia Rashad Roberta Flack, and George Faison ...to name a few.
During her tenure at New York 1, She has broken a number of significant exclusive stories - ranging from the emergence of female genital mutilation in New York City to an exclusive one-on-one interview with former Mayor Rudy Giuliani discussing his battle with prostate cancer. She regularly covers major breaking live news from the anchor set. Most notably, Cheryl anchored NY1's live coverage of the capture and death of Osama Bin Laden and Hurricane Irene.
Cheryl has also hosted special events like New York 1's Fashion Week New York 1's annual salute to Jazz in the city, the Halloween and Thanksgiving Day Parades, the New Year's Eve ball drop and many other specials that are produced for NY1 News. Cheryl has played herself as a news anchor in a number of television shows & major motion pictures like:
